Welcome To Olympic Peninsula Health Services

We have offices in Port Hadlock and Port Angeles, Washington, specializing in treating substance use disorders including opioid and alcohol use disorders with medications and therapy. We are a team of experienced addiction medicine experts providing exceptional care for people affected by opioid and alcohol use disorders.

We prescribe Sublocade®, Suboxone®, Subutex® (during pregnancy), Vivitrol®, naltrexone, acamprosate, and disulfiram to help with opioid and alcohol use disorders. We also offer Narcan® (naloxone), smoking cessation products, lab draws for HIV and Hepatitis C, and other appropriate blood work for our patients.

We always have walk-in and same-day appointments available at each clinic. Appointments are also available through secure HIPAA-compliant telemedicine from a mobile unit visiting rural Southeast Jefferson County and through chemical dependency agencies, Believe in Recovery, located in Port Townsend Washington, or Speciality Services outpatient program in Port Angeles Washington

ALCOHOL DEPENDENCE

Many people enjoy an alcoholic drink occassionaly, but some people’s drinking becomes excessive and uncontrollable.
Olympic peninsula health services provides medication assisted treatment ( MAT), combining medication with counseling and behavior modification techniques.
Medications we prescribe for alcohol dependence include naltrexone, acamprosate, and disulfiram.
Many individuals also benefit from group therapy and support groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous.

OPIOID ADDICTION

Opioids, including illegal substances like heroin and fentanyl, as well as prescription medications like oxycodone and over-the-counter options like Kratom, pose a significant risk of addiction. They initially offer relief from pain and anxiety, inducing euphoria, but as tolerance builds, higher doses become necessary. Eventually, dependence can reach a point where opioids are required for daily functioning. Overcoming opioid addiction is challenging, with withdrawal being a major obstacle. At Olympic Peninsula Health Services, we offer Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) or Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) to alleviate withdrawal symptoms and cravings, proven effective for sustained recovery from opioid use disorder.
